Abstract(in English) | Recent trend of 3D acoustics is to develop sound localization systems with the use of 2 channel stereo sound. In such kind of systems, head related transfer functions (HRTFs) are generally utilized to acheive sound localization. Under this situation, a low-cost algorithm for sound localization has been proposed, which takes advantage of the distinctive characteristics of HRTF in each frequency sub-band. In this paper, we first analyze the features of HRTF of nearby sound sources. Organization of processing modules to be added to the current architecture so as to realize sound localization for nearby sound sources is also described. |
