Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The nonlinear tone control method was developed in order to investigate the relation between the physical characteristics of the minute level of reproduced sound and sensuous evaluation. In the processing, the instantaneous value of the voltage signal v of the band-pass filter output is processed successively by w=sgn(v)c|v|^n, the odd higher harmonics by the nonlinear processing are removed, and all frequency components are added. The relation with the evaluation word of "soft" and "hard" was investigated using the music data which carried out compression / extension processing only of the signal of one band of them. When near 5kHz was elongated using the pair comparison method for evaluation, it checked that a relation with an evaluation word "soft" is capable, and that this method of preparation was effective. |
