Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For maintenance of a communication and an electric power cable in a pipe, it is necessary to estimate leak and branch localization in the pipe under the ground. The pulse echo method by acoustic waves is used as one of maintenance engineering for the measurement of pipe length. To be found branch points and/or leak localizations in the pipe, we detect a lot of the reflected waves generated by these points. And acoustic characteristics in the pipe are complexity. The one of a study aid is to find these broken points. We analysis the traveling reflective waves generated in the pipe by the TLM method. We show the comparison between the experimented and calculated results. From the results, the TLM method is useful for the acoustic analyses.
