Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In gesture recognition, recognition as well as segmentation are important. In this paper motion capture and DataGloves are used to measure shapes of a body, hands and fingers. Self-organizing maps are used in the recognition because they can tolerate variations of spatio-temporal data. A comparison is carried out between the use of one self-organizing map and 3 self-organizing maps for representing spatio-temporal information.
