Interconnected Neural Networks with Anti-symmetry Couplings and Its Application to Ranking Problems

Abstract(in English) The energy funciton of symmetric interconnected Hopfleld neural network was given by Hopfield, and its convergency was shown. The neural network or its energy function is expanded by changing some parts of the energy function. Eight kinds of energy funcitons of interconnected neural network with anti-symmetry coupling are proposed, using v(t) and (2 - v(t)) as coupling functions, where v(t) is output function of .a unit. The convergence of the networks with anti-symmetry couplings is shown as in Hopfleld neural network. One of the energy functions with anti-symmetry couplings is applied to ranking problems in League Tournament. The result of the ranking are different from the ranking obtained by winning percentages.
