Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the use of collaborative diversity techniques has gained much attention in a wireless sensor network scenario. Using space-time coding, multiple sensor nodes, each equipped with a single antenna, can enjoy the so-called collaborative diversity gain up to the order of the number of collaborative nodes without bandwidth expansion. In this paper, we consider a node erasure problem, which may result from the power outage of sensor nodes, and propose the use of differential space-time block codes that have a robustness against such erasure. The numerical results show that even when the node erasures occur, the diversity order as much as the working nodes can be achieved even without any knowledge of erasure event at the receiver.
