Abstract(in English) | Since chromatic dispersion uniformity along a high nonlinearity optical fiber (HNLF) is required for all optical processing fiber devices, there is a great need for precise measurement of chromatic dispersion distribution. The optical time-domain reflectometer-like method based on four-wave mixing signal (Nonlinear OTDR method) is effective to measure a distributed dispersion map. But in case of measuring HNLF, its high nonlinearity causes measurement error. In this report, we discussed measurement error factors for chromatic dispersion distribution measurement of HNLF, improved the measurement system for more accurate measurement and confirmed error reduction. |
