Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical survey of geostationary satellites continues on a regular basis in National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. Observed images are processed to add geodetic coordinates of satellite positions, and are released on the institute's Internet site. Preliminary orbit determination for every satellite in the visible orbital arc is tried, and this requires acquiring four or more tracking data sets for each satellite during one night. We introduce a method for the data acquisition, where 28 satellites are automatically identified and tracked, assuming that a satellite moves less than 0.1 degrees in one night.
