Abstract(in English) We discuss a generalized discrete binomial process model for software reliability assessment based on the framework for discrete software reliability growth modeling proposed so far. Our approach enables us to obtain a plausible software reliability growth model (SRGM) easily by applying a suitable software failure-occurrence times distribution to our generalized model. In this paper generalized software reliability assessment measures and a parameter estimation method of our generalized model are also discussed. And then, we discuss software release problems based on our generalized model. Finally we depict numerical illustrations for software reliability assessment based on our generalized model and its application to derived optimal release policies by using actual fault count data.
