Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, effects of Ultraviolet LED on E. coli are examined. Exposure time of the ultraviolet is varied from 5 to 60 minutes. The wavelength of UV LED used is 365nm, its output is 100mW, and distance between the UV LED and E. coli is 20mm. 30 minutes application of the ultraviolet killed 100% of E. coli, and 80% in 15 minutes. 40 to 50% of E. coli were killed in the place not just below the UV LED. These results suggest that the UV LED has sterilized effects.
