Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study focuses on the improvement of wide-bandstop characteristics compared with previous performances when a new microstrip line (MSL) with periodic dielectric rods inside the dielectric substrate is used. Such improvement of the characteristics is carried out by inserting dielectric rods between the strip conductor and the ground plane with the permittivity that is lower than the dielectric rod in the substrate in LTCC techniques. The proposed models are analyzed by FDTD method and it is confirmed that variations of their transmission characteristics are dependent on the spacing between the dielectric rods and their shape. Furthermore, when the filtering function of periodic dielectric structures is applied to the microwave filter, a BPF with improved characteristics will be realized. That results show that the proposed BPF have the wide-bandpass characteristics and improved spurious responses with with satisfactory performance.
