Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, a novel bandpass filter (BPF) having transmission zeros is developed by using both half-wavelength resonators and composite resonators, in order to reduce the filter size and improve its stopband characteristics. First, an equivalent circuit of this type of BPF is proposed and its filtering characteristics are investigated. Next, a three-pole BPF with a midband frequency of 1.0GHz and a fractional bandwidth of 2% is designed and examined using a circuit simulator. Finally, the three-pole BPF is designed and realized in microstrip from by using an electromagnetic simulator.
