Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Information Engineering is a lecture course that teaches the basis of computer hardware and software. We introduced practical works on logical circuits and microcontroller in the course. Students used the experiment boards to study basic logical circuits and a flip-flop circuit in the practical works. Students made the experiment boards for PIC microcontroller and used them to study PIC assembly language in the practical works. The results of the practical works, the survey of student attitudes, and the results of the examinations indicate that the practical works have the following effects. (1) Students can deeply understand the lecture; (2) Students have interests in computer hardware; (3) Students are motivated to study related courses in computer hardware.
