Abstract(in English) We designed an autonomous management system in a policy-based manner. In our system, static and simple policies are separated from dynamic and complicated management flows. IT managers have only to deal with simple policies. We implemented an execution engine for management flows. A management flow is composed of 4 phases of monitoring, analyzing, adapting, and Executing. Each phase refers a corresponding policy, and the flow control engine refers cooperation policies of phases to execute phases in order. The engine also refers cooperation policies of sub-systems to handle the whole IT system. We examine the flow control engine in autonomous management of a clustered query system.
