Abstract(in English) | The Normalized site attenuation (NSA)-based method which is specified in ANSI C63.4 or CISPR 16-1-5 is widely used as the performance evaluation of EMC measurement site at present. A dipole antenna or a broadband antenna can be used in this site attenuation measurement. But a broadband antenna is used more often for convenience. We performed site attenuation measurements with a broadband antenna, and found a problem in that the measurement results slightly differ depending on under what conditions the antenna has been calibrated; which means it's impossible to establish an accurate function of anechoic chamber, or to collect accurate verification data with the specification that refers to NSA, that permits more than one antenna calibration conditions. We have come up with the idea to use CALTS theoretical figure that is required for antenna calibration site as regulated in CISPR 16-1-5 (2003), to the specification of 10m semi-anechoic chamber for EMI measurements. By adopting CALTS theoretical figure to the specification, we have succeeded in to constructing a 10m semi-anechoic chamber that satisfies the specification of CALTS±1.0dB. We will report the simulation results obtained in the designing period, and the measurement results obtained after the completion of the test in the 10m semi-anechoic chamber that satisfy the required specification |
