An Experiment on EM Scattering of A Conductive Rod in the Semi-anechoic Chamber

Abstract(in English) The measurements of unwanted EM wave radiation out of information technology equipments, consumer electric appliances and electronic equipments should be made in the regulated measurement site as the open site or the semi-anechoic chamber. This measurement site should not include other radiating objects in the restricted area, not to disturb the measurement levels. However, in the real measurement situation, there might be some scattering objects. Therefore, we tried to estimate the influence, starting at the simplest case ; for a single conductive rod. The measurements of the height pattern were executed while a conductive rod was set between the transmitting and the receiving antennas. The deformations of the height patterns were measured when the rod length and setting height were changing. And the height pattern made by the EM scattering wave out of the conducting rod was deduced.
