Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Proposed QMLS (QoS Multicast for Live Streaming) protocol has focused on an end-to-end allowable delay, and this improves the performance of live streaming multicast. We have proposed a path reconfiguration method for QMLS multicast tree to address the case that a bottleneck has developed at a certain link on the multicast tree. This method has been shown its efectiveness as compared to a conventional tree reconfiguration method based on shortest delay. However, it does not improve the QoS in only a few networks. Therefore, we propose a more efficient path reconfiguration method to solve the problem. In selecting a suitable path, we consider not only the delay and the number of QMLS routers on the path but also the distance betwen QMLS routers and retransmission delay. Finally, we evaluate the performance of our method through simulation. The simulation results show that our method provides a multicast tree that is tolerant to variations in traffic after path reconfiguration.
