Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As IP infrastructure has become wide spread, the end-to-end environments of the Internet have become more complex. Hence, global traffic engineering is required for end-to-end QoS improvement. On the other hand, Internet access lines and power of terminal nodes have become enriched, and end-host-based overlay networks, such like P2P (Peer-to-peer), have become new inflastructures. In this paper, we suggest a new internet traffic engineering method using an end-host-based overlay network, and we clarify its effectiveness using real interenet measurement data.
