Abstract(in English) | We propose a new hybrid head that generates both the magnetic field and the near field on a nano-sized region for near-field assisted magnetic recording toward the areal density of 1 Tb/in^2. We confirmed the generation of near field on the hybrid head using a near field scanning optical microscopy. It is found that the near field is trapped in a nano-sized region on the hybrid head. We report our recording system with this hybrid head and the result of the near-field assisted magnetic recording on TbFeCo media. |
