Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In superstructure fiber Bragg grating (SSFBG) encoder/decoder for optical code division multiplexing (OCDM), we have been studied the package structure for up to 85mm long SSFBG, which has multi-point phase shift structure. Temperature distribution in the SSFBG region is required being less than 3 degree C to maintain the high ratio of auto-correlation peak and sub peak. A new package structure, which satisfies the required temperature distribution, has been proposed by thermal simulation and calculation of encoding/decoding performance. We also experimentally show that the new wavelength tunable package for long SSFBG has satisfied practical use by encoding/decoding performance.
