| Abstract(in English) | In the past few years, wide-band wavelength tunable lasers with a tuning range of over 40nm have been developed intensively and are considered as a key device for next generation WDM optical communication systems. Furthermore these components will be indispensable in future photonic network systems with ROADM functionality. In this report, we describe the recent progress on wide-band wavelength tunable lasers especially focusing on the NEC activities. |
