Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the mobile reception of digital terrestrial television broadcasting (DTTB) the power consumption is strictly limited because of the battery size. However, since DTTB requires RF(radio frequency) front end with wide dynamic range, high linearity and low NF(Noise Figure) it is difficult to reduce the power consumption in RF front-end. This paper proposes an adaptive control method for reducing power consumption in the RF front-end by making efficient use of channel states such as CNR(carrier to noise power ratio), multipath delay spreading, and maximum Doppler shift as well as the transmission mode and modulation format. Computer simulation result shows that the proposed adaptive control method is capable of reducing the power consumption in multipath fading environment.
