Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ITU-T B-PON/G-PON recommendations have become mature state, mainly owing to the regional standard body, FSAN. However, the interoperability between OLT and ONT is not guaranteed even if each system is implemented based on these recommendations. This paper first describes the history and current status of PON recommendations, and the reason why the interoperability cannot be achieved only by referring to these recommendations. Then, it introduces FSAN's recent activities relevant to interoperability, such as some documents for interoperability and some interoperability test events. Finally, it summarizes the solutions for these problems.
