Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It becomes a fashion to provide the various network connectivity and environment such as information outlet (LAN Socket) and wireless access point in the local area network (LAN). We call the network with such connectivity Open Access Network. This leads a spread of mobile PC or PDA into the Internet, and a rush of demand for local connection by the user belonging or not to the local organization. As a result, we, network managers, have to manage in two points. In the first, a various physical connectivity responds to a flexible network configuration with their own less overhead, and the second, a prevention of the inadequate access inbound to LAN and outbound to the Internet. However, above two points often become a trade-off in the network management, because of variety consisted with some media and its performance. In this paper, we suggest a system model as Open Access Network solving above trade-off with VPN, and show its design and implementation of a prototype then its evaluation.
