Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a high-speed network a server will communicate with clients via best-effort network and via high-speed network simultaneously. The server will enlarge the TCP buffer size to achieve high perfomance , but enlarging TCP buffer size will be harmfull to best-effort network when the client request large buffer size, because the server will send out too many packets in the best-effort network and may cause the congestion. In this paper we propose a new implementation of TCP that determine the TCP connection is via best-effort network or via high-speed QoS enhanced network and adjust the TCP flowcontrol mechanism.
