Abstract(in English) For realization of tunable dispersion compensator based on Bragg grating, we discussed the degradation of a signal quality caused by group delay ripples that exist in the practical devices. It is important to treat the ripple appropriately for applying the dispersion compensator to higher bit-rate optical transmission systems. In this report, we analyze the influence of the ripple depending on the bit-rate, the chirp parameter and the modulation formats. Experiments agreed well with numerical simulation. We also show the guideline of the allowable group delay ripple for 40Gbit/s systems.
