Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) CS-RZ signal is effective for 40Gbit/s DWDM systems. But, conventional CS-RZ signal generation methods are complicated and expensive. In this paper, we propose a novel CS-RZ signal generation method using a Phase Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating. Proposed method generates CS-RZ signal by simple and low cost devices ,that is one optical circulator and one Phase Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating. The proposed method had been evaluated by computer simulations. Our results show that, proposed method generates good CS-RZ signal and the CS-RZ signal generated has good robustness for fiber dispersion.
