Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Inter-wavelength-band conversions of 640 Gbit/s OTDM signals between C- and L-band accompanied by 640-to-10 Gbit/s OTDM demultiplexing are experimentally demonstrated. By use of highly nonlinear dispersion-shifted fibers, almost pulse broadening-free, highly efficient wavelength-band conversions are successfully demonstrated at BERs less than 10^-9. This scheme would be a key technology in wavelength-band path routing in hierarchical hybrid OTDM/WDM networks.
