Performance Characteristics of the Voltage-Current Mode Multiplex Resonance Type Converter

Abstract(in English) We had reported the multiplex resonance type converter which added current resonance circuit at the secondary side of the one switch type voltage resonance converter with loose coupled transformer. The relation between the output characteristic of the converter and the resonance conditions of primary and secondary is analyzed by the simulation, and is reported by this paper. Moreover, this converter has the load conditions that cannot perform ZVS operation, and shows the relation in this paper. This converter can supply much power to an output, so that primary side resonance circuit value is small and secondary side resonance impedance is low. The ZVS operation range of this converter is expanded on condition that the primary side resonance circuit value is small, and the secondary side resonance frequency is low. Furthermore, the experiment result of the one converter Power Factor improvement power supply with the power regeneration system of 300W output is shown. In this circuit, efficiency is 90% or more to the load change from 300W to 50W, and Power Factor is 0.75 or more to the load change from 300W to 50W.
