Analysis of modes in a buried post-type VCSEL taking into account DBR structure

Abstract(in English) Modes in buried post-type surface emitting lasers are analysed with index distributions of their distributed Bragg reflectors taken into account.In contrast to conventional analyses where DBRs have been treated as a structureless reflection plane,effects of various phenomena occuring in the DBRs are naturally taken into account.It has been revealed that high- and low-mode gains appear repeatedly as a function of cavity width.
