| Abstract(in English) | The value of multimedia services,including video on demand have been widely discussed,and this is an indication of its future importance.However,the health of the video-software distribution business does not at the moment show a need for video on demand. But,multimedia developments such as CD-ROM,CD-Video,and TV games are rapidly growing and multimedia communications technologies such as video servers,ATM switches,and optical fiber transmission are developing rapidly.These facts already suggest that video on demand will be indispensable in the future.It is important that we demonstrate promising examples of video on demand services as soon as possible. |
