Multiple-Valued Image Contour Extraction Method Using Variable Threshold Laplacian-Gaussian Filter

Abstract(in English) A contour extraction of image is important and widely used in preprocessing of image data processing. There are many contour extraction methods have been proposed. For a purpose of reduction of the size and higher processing speed of the system, in our work, we propose a method of using the Laplacian-Gaussian filter for contour extraction, in which output value of the filter is changed to multiple-value of five values by using variable threshold The proposed method was compared with the conventional methods (Laplacian filter, etc.). As a result, the proposed method shows a better performance when compared with the previous method.
