Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new copy control method for digital broadcasting which achieves restoration of the original data after move operation with data transform. In the proposed method, the original data, which is deleted in the conventional method, is encrypted with the transformed data and the encrypted data is stored in the original recording device such as a hard disk recorder. When the transformed data which was moved to the second device has been moved back to the original device, the original data can be restored with the transformed data and playback of the original data can be achieved. The proposed method improves ease of use in recording digital broadcasting or in editing recorded video data on recording devices because the original video data can be restored after data transform.
