Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize adaptive image enhancement, various models based on E. H. Land's Retinex theory have been proposed. In general, computatonal complexity is not taken into consideration. In this report, evaluations from both of computational complexity and image quality have been carried out for image enhancement models based on Retinex theory aiming at hardware implementation of realtime adaptive image enhancement. Computational complexity is measured by using cash mechanism. As to image quality, color rendition and contrast are used as indices of evaluation. As a result, QP model is identified as the most suitable for realtime video application.
