Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that the sound in our environment (environmental sound) contains many information, and we can predict a surrounding situation from the sound. We record artificial environmental sounds include the car, the bike, the running footstep and the walking footstep in outdoor using a microphone. If optimal parameters and the clustering method are used for patter recognition, the environmental sound may be recognized from recorded sounds. In this paper, we propose a k-means clustering using psychoacoustic parameters. The result shows a possibility that a surrounding situation can be predicted from environmental sounds.
