Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report describes an OFDM wireless communication system to employ 80-MHz bandwidth. The system is based on the expansion of the IEEE802.11a standard. We consider the optimum specifications of OFDM frame, DFT size, allocation of subcarriers required for the OFDM wireless system at 80-MHz bandwidth. In the developed OFDM system, the maximum transmit rate is 300Mbps and corresponds to about 1.4 times of the four-channel transmission on the IEEE802.11a standard. In the experiment, transmission characteristics have been measured under a multi-path fading environment. Moreover, we report a circuit structure for the above OFDM modulation/demodulation system and its design on digital CMOS implementation.
