Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper analyzes linear continuous-time systems and their power complementary systems in terms of the state-space representation and derives novel theorems on the controllability and observability Gramians and second-order modes. First, it is proved that solutions to the Riccati equations consist of the Gramians of linear systems and their power complementary systems. This result leads us to the derivation of two inequalities which relate the frequency response of linear systems to the values of the second-order modes. Furthermore, this paper reveals some sign-symmetry properties among linear systems, power complementary systems and solutions to the Riccati equations.
