Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we address a blind separation of speech mixture by using matching pursuits(MP). The matching pursuit is an adaptive signal decomposition method and decomposes a signal into the set of atoms during iterative basis selection. In each iteration, MP selects a best basis that minimizes the approximation residue of the signal under decomposition. The stereo MP that is proposed by Gribonval for blind signal separation from stereo mixture requires search of the arraival time diffrenece between two sources. In this report, an improved MP for the blind speech separation is proposed. The computation cost of the proposed iteration for the arraival time search is smaller than the stereo MP. In experiment, we apply the both MP decomposition methods to blind speech separarion and show the comparison between the proposed and the stereo MP.
