Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we introduce a moving vector parameter into the on-line signature verification method based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and adaptive signal processing. A time-varying signal of the moving vector is decomposed into sub-band signals by using the DWT. Individual features are extracted as high frequency components in each sub-band. Verification is achieved in each sub-band by whether an adaptive coefficient converges on 1. Performance of the proposed on-line signature verification method is examined in verification simulations. By using the moving vector parameter, while equivalent verification rate is obtained the computational complexity is reduced to a half of that using conventional pen-position parameter.
