Abstract(in English) This paper describes the performance evaluation of frequency domain blind source separation (BSS) using directional microphones placed close to each other (close mic-arrangement). Using this close mic-arrangement in the time domain BSS reduces the number of taps while guaranteeing almost the same separation performance as the conventional microphone arrangement (separated mic-arrangement). Then, this paper investigates separation performance, computation time and permutation problem when the frequency domain BSS is combined with the close mic-arrangement, comparing with those for the separated mic-arrangement. As a result, for computation time and occurrence of permutation the close mic-arrangement is superior to the separated mic-arrangement in both the anehoic and the echoic room. For separation performance, the close mic-arrangement is better than the separated mic-arrangement in the anechoic room while the former is worse than the latter in the echoic room.
