Abstract(in English) This paper investigates an optical switching module used in a new optical access network. The network that we have proposed ensures to solve all problems that Passive Optical Network (PON) essentially has. This paper outlines the new optical access network and clarifies system requirements for the optical switching module used in the network. This paper discusses an optical switching scheme in detail to meet Multi-Point Control Protocol (MPCP) defined in IEEE802.3ah. This paper evaluates system performances of the new optical access network. This paper describes detailed technical requirements and considers how to realize them.
