Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Field Server is a Web server installed in fields and works as a node of sensor networks, which consists of a Web server, Wireless-LAN module, camera, LED lighting, solar-cells and sensors (air-temperature, humidity, CO_2 concentration and so on). Field Servers perform ad-hoc networks by using repeating mode of access-points. Around Field Servers hotspots is also available. Data collected by Fieldserver-Agent, which is a kind of AI system, and conventional weather databases are combined by MetBroker which is an Internet service for data-grid. The combined data is used by applications such as pest control management systems. FMSs were installed in countries such as Japan, USA, Thailand, China and Korea for long term experiments.
