Application of Layered Neural Network into Individual Identification by Fingerprint

Abstract(in English) We constructed an individual identification system by fingerprint with three-layered neural networks, and investigated the effects of preprocessing for fingerprint images and layered neural networks on the performance of our system. In this study, after classifying fingerprint images into 4 directions, the smoothing was carried out. From the results, we found that the preprocessing method in our study and the layered neural networks were useful for the individual identification system.
