Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose streaming tramsmission of JPEG2000 image that control image quality degradation. RTF is widely used in real time transmission of the video in the internet. However, it is known that a packet loss will occur. JPEG2000 codestream is encoded by bitplane, so if upper bitplane data is lost image quality may degrade by decoding lower bitplane data. In the proposed method, we can control image quality degradation by omitting lower bitplane data in a codeblock unit. And we also propose RTF header extension so that the compatibility with the existing RTF is preserved. We show validity of the proposed method in the simulation using a still image. |
