| 抄録(和) | 分布ラマン増幅(DRA)技術が長距離・大容量伝送システムに与えるインパクトについて、高SNR化の観点から述べている。すなわち、顕著な高SNR化をもたらす同技術の特色とトレンド、我々が提案するDRAシステムの基本構成(DRA/EDFAハイブリッド構成)、及び高パワ励起光に関する安全の視点を示している。また、そのDRAシステムのメリットである光SNR改善量、その伝送ファイバ(DSFとSMF)依存性、及びDSFのSMFに対する優位性(約2-3dB)が具体的に示されている。さらに、DSF上のL帯WDM信号光とDRAを用いたフィールド伝送実験により、高いラマン利得と良好な伝送特性が確認されている。 |
| 抄録(英) | The impacts of distributed Raman amplification (DRA) technologies upon long-haul and large-capacity transmission systems are described in this paper. We show the features and trend of the technologies, which technologies are able to offer us a significant enhancement of SNR, the basic configuration of our proposed DRA system (DRA/EDFA hybrid configuration), and the safety aspects on high pump power. We also shows in detail the optical SNR improvements as the merits of the DRA systems, transmission fiber (DSF and SMF) dependence characteristics of the improvements, and the degrees of advantage of DSF over SMF (～2-3dB). Further, high Raman gains and high-performance transmission characteristics have been confirmed in the field experiments employing the L-band WDM signals over DSF. |
