| Abstract(in English) | This paper describes the broadband telecommunication networks in Okinawa. It presents for the first time, the maximum 800 Gbit/s DWDM(Dens Wavelength Division Multiplexing) commercial optical fiber ring network in Okinawa, and also in Japan. Also, the need of broadband very large capacity Tera-Bit(Tbit/s) Taiwan-Okinawa optical submarine cable network considering OIST(Okinawa Institute Science Technology) Graduate school is proposed. |
