Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) IPv6 transport over GMPLS-controlled optical network test bed of JGNII was experimentally investigated, and IPv6 stream transport was successfully achieved over the GMPLS LSP thanks to the 6PE technology implemented in GMPLS routers. The LDP encapsulating technique was used to transport IPv6 packets over GMPLS LSP. For exchanging IPv6 routing information over the GMPLS LSP, BGP4 session was established between GMPLS-controlled Routers in the core GMPLS network, and OSPFv3 was used in the attached edge IPv6 network. Through this evaluation, we have now a confident that the GMPLS network is ready to provide IPv6 services as well as IPv4 services.
