Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical packet networks are expected to be the fast high-capacity network which meets the needs of rapidly growing Internet traffic. However, the circuit size of all-optical label processing, which is one of the main function of the optical packet forwarding, increase in proportion to the number of labels to distinguish. Therefore, it is difficult to realize optical packet networks by directly applying the current routing architecture. We thus are considering an optical packet network based on source routing which enables simple forwarding process by using a sequence of output port informations of intermediate routers as a label. In this paper, we clarify the demands for routing information exchange derived from source routing of optical packets. To meet the demands we designed a trigger-based path-vector routing information exchanging scheme which supports multi-bestpaths. Then we evaluate the performance of this method.
