Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have researched into the optical burst switching utilizing two-way signaling for connection-guaranteed data transfer. We designed the optical burst switching network applied for the metro area network in which the switching time and the size of optical burst data is 20 ms and 100ms, respectively. We have proved the design of an optical burst switching network including congestion control using JGN II optical testbed. In this paper, we describe optical burst switching technology, focus on the congestion control, and the demonstration of optical bust switching network in JGN II optical testbed.
