Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ALM is widely used in real time streaming applications such as Peer Cast and is expected as key technologies in steaming delivery applications. When delivering contents, it is desirable to reduce the hop count from the root server to the end hosts from the viewpoint of reducing the delivering delay, and is also desirable to construct the balanced ALM tree from the viewpoint of load balancing. Up to now, various ALM tree construction algorithms have been proposed. However, these algorithms have a limitation to adopt in the real environment due to the constraint that all host have the same number of fan-out. In this paper, we propose a novel ALM tree construction algorithm in the heterogeneous environment, which means that the number of fan-out is not always the same for each host, and evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
